Biographical History

The Boston Aqueduct Corporation was incorporated in 1795 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the purpose of bringing fresh water by subterranean pipes from Jamaica Plain in Roxbury, Massachusetts, to homes and businesses in Boston, Massachusetts. The incorporators were Luther Eames, Nathan Bond and William Page; James Sullivan was appointed president; Nathan Bond, treasurer, Loammi Baldwin, Charles Bulfinch, Joseph Ward, Charles Vaughan and Luther Eames, directors.
