Lee W. Fulton (b. 1910, Morgan County, Illinois-d. Oct. 29, 1976), U.S. Air Force officer, began his military career as a private in the Oklahoma National Guard in 1927 and received his commission in 1930. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1940 and went overseas in 1942 with the Third Air Depot Group. He assumed command of the 51st Air Service Center in India and was responsible for airlift operations over the Himalayas. He also commanded the 80th Air Depot in India that serviced aircraft in the China-Burma-India Theater of operations. Near the end of the War, he served with the 20th Air Force in the Pacific theater, then as chief of maintenance of the 315th Bomb Wing. Until his retirement in 1965, General Fulton served in a number of key positions in the U.S., including those with the Air Materiel Command, Air Research and Development Headquarters, Military Air Transport Service Headquarters, and Air Force Logistics Command. He retired from Air Force service on August 1, 1965.
