Leo George Chiozza (1870-1944), born in Genoa of an Anglo-Italian marine engineer father and an English mother, assumed the surname Money in 1903. He was a businessman, publisher, economist, statistician, MP (1906-18), and was knighted in 1915. He was later a convinced supporter of Fascist dictatorships. Money was author of Riches and poverty (1905), two volumes of poetry, The immortal purpose and Sonnets of life, and an unpublished autobiography, 1938-39.
