Architect, of New York, N.Y., and Nantucket, Mass.
Architect; born September 9, 1862; prepared for college at Rutgers Preparatory School; was graduated from Rutgers College, 1883; employed as a "draughtsman" by McKim, Mead and White, 1887-ca.1900; served in the U.S. Navy during and just after the Spanish American War; worked as an architect in New York City (in partnership as Hill and Stout, ca. 1900-1917, and on his own, 1917-1919), in Bermuda (in Pembroke, 1919-1923, and in Somerset Bridge, 1923-1935) and in Massachusetts (on Nantucket); summered for many years in Siasconset, Massachusetts; died May 27, 1957.
