Biographical History

Founded in 1894, the Texas Cottonseed Crushers' Association (TCCA) is the oldest organization of its type in the industry. A Dallas-based organization of cottonseed oil plant owners and workers in Texas. Established operating standards, trading rules and procedures, and promoted production and use of cottonseed products. Worked closely with colleges and extension services for product improvement. On the national scene, it cooperated with other regional associations in establishing such uniform standards under the auspices of the National Cottonseed Products Association which was created in 1929.
