Maine Steamship Company was a bonded line between New York and Portland, Me., with offices at Pier 38, East River, New York, and Franklin Wharf, Portland. "These steamships connect at Portland with the Grand Trunk Railroad, for Montreal, Quebec, and all other points in Canada; also with the Maine Central Railroad for all points in Maine, and Northern New Hampshire, and with steamers for Boothbay, Rockland, Bangor, Mt. Desert, Eastport, Calais, and St. John, N.B."
