Composed 1983 during the dog days of summer in Philadelphia using selected poems from Anne Sexton's cycle, "Eighteen days without you." Premiered 21 November, 1983 by the Orchestra of the Curtis Institute with singer Karen Noteboom, the composer conducting, --Cf. Fleisher Collection.
