Charles Thomas Menoher (b. March 20, 1862, Johnstown, Pennsylvania-d. Aug. 11, 1930, Washington, D.C.), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1886 and served in Cuba during the Spanish-American War and in three tours in the Philippines. In 1917 he was given command of the School of Instruction for Field Artillery of the American Expeditionary Force in France. He also commanded the 42nd Division which participated in key World War I offensives including the Meuse-Argonne Operation. After the War, he was named Director of the Air Service, and later commanded the Hawaiian Division and the IX Corps Area. General Menoher retired from the Army in 1926.
