Biographical History
Thomas Walter Darrah (b. July 11, 1873, Marquette, Kansas-d. Jan. 21, 1955), Brigadier General in the U.S. Army, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1895 and served as an instructor at West Point before participating in several key offenses during World War I. He was commander of the 34th Infantry and of the Pacific sector Panama Canal Area. He was decorated with two Silver Star Medals for gallantry in action in Cuba and the Philippines. He retired in 1937.
