Corbaley, A. L. (Alvaro Lenhart), 1862-1941.

Alvaro Lenhart "A.L." Corbaley was born Jan 1, 1862 because in his diary he states it's his 23rd birthday. On May 11, 1884 he went to Badger Mountain, WA from California where he had been working on the construction of the railroad. He had a squatter's claim of about 160 acres with a log cabin that didn't have a floor. The year before he had put up about twenty tons of hay that he was selling. He had a bay mare, a cow and some interest in a herd that was near by. During that year he had been working on his homestead. He had been one of the first settlers in the Waterville, WA area. He married a woman from another family that were early settlers in the same area. A.L. Corbaley went on to establish the Church of God of the Faith of Abraham in Waterville and possibly in Cashmere, WA. It appears that Mr. & Mrs. Corbaley eventually moved to the Puyallup WA area because he passed away in 1941.
