Peter Jacobs (ca. 1807-1890) was an Ojibwa Indian who became a missionary around 1836.
Peter Jones was the son of a Canadian surveyor and an Ojibwa woman. He was a Methodist missionary to the Ojibwa Indians and published various works for use by and about the Ojibwa, including an Ojibwa translation of St. Matthew's Gospel.
