Biographical History
The Fielding Social Development Club was established in January of 1921. By the end of that year the membership of the fledgling organization numbered 25. The club was a womens' club, whose purpose was to promote civic improvement and education in the Fielding, Utah community.
Franklin County, Idaho, was established in 1913 with Preston as its county seat and main population center. In the county's early decades, residents constructed a number of schools organized into several districts. In 1961, however, the county consolidated these smaller districts into two: East Side School District and West Side School District. The East Side School District, also referred to as School District No. 201, serves 280 square miles of eastern Franklin County, including the towns of Preston, Whitney, and Franklin, Banida, Treasureton, Oneida, Mink Creek, Riverdale, Mapleton, Nashville, and Fairview.
