Biographical History
John Hull (1624-1683) was a colonial merchant, public servant, mintmaster, and silversmith. He came to America from England as a child, established himself in Boston, and became a wealthy and influential leader in the Massachusetts colony. His only child, Hannah, married Samuel Sewall (1652-1730).
