Biographical History
The Synod of Missouri was erected in 1832 by the PCUSA. It divided into Old and New School factions in 1838 and reunited in 1870. Part of the Old School Synod broke away in 1866 and remained independent until 1874 when it joined the PCUS. In 1970, the Synod merged with the UPCUSA Synod of Missouri to form the Synod of Missouri Union.
