Associated Latter-day Media Artists (ALMA or A.L.M.A.) was formed in January of 1977 by Donna King Conkling, Glen Larson, Robert Starling and Gordon Jump. A network of contacts was created for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints within the Media fields. The organization hosted firesides, seminars, award ceremonies and other activities bringing support and awareness concerning Latter-day Saints in the Media. It became a worldwide association with headquarters in Los Angeles, California.
