English divine; friend of the poet Gray.
Norton Nicholls (1742-1811) received his LL.B. from Cambridge University in 1766. He was ordained in the following year and became rector of Lound and Bradwell in Suffolk. An amateur musician and avid gardener, he was also a friend of Thomas Gray.
