Biographical History

An undergraduate student organization, the Blue Shirt Club of Harvard was organized in December 1923. Dedicated to wearing blue shirts (rather than white) four times a month, the Club hoped to cut down the laundry bills of its members. Other goals of the organization included condemnation of both the Ku Klux Klan and the use of automobiles by college students. It is unclear how long the Club lasted. One member was Corliss Lamont (AB 1924), son of T.W. Lamont.
