Rosamond Rugg Northrop rode in rodeos at Nederland and knew many cowboys and cowgirls. The history of many of these people can be found in the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and in the Rodeo Hall of Champions in Colorado Springs, Colo.

William T. Harpel was mayor of Eldora, Colorado from 1908 to 1936. His wife was Maggie Carney Harpel; their daughter, Clara J. Harpel, married Merle C. Rugg. Rosamond Rugg Northrop is the daughter of Clara and Merle Rugg.
