Biographical History
Lord Lieutenant of Ireland.
The pamphlets were accumulated over the course of a century, evidently by Philip Yorke, the first Earl of Hardwicke (1690-1764); his eldest son, Philip Yorke, the second Earl of Hardwicke (1720-1790); and the second Earl's nephew, Philip Yorke, the third Earl of Hardwicke (1754-1834). All three Earls were prominent in political life.
