James King Hall (1875-1948) was a psychiatrist who founded and directed, from 1911 to 1918, Westbrook Sanitorium, Richmond, Va.
James King Hall (1875-1948) of Iredell County, N.C., was a psychiatrist who specialized in mental illness and co-founder and director of the Westbrook Sanitorium in Richmond, Va., 1911-1948. Hall was also a member of several medical associations and societies; author and editor for medical journals, including Southern Medicine and Surgery ; consulting psychiatrist of the Virginia State Department of Public Welfare; chairman of the Governor's Advisory Board on Mental Hygiene (Virginia); and member of the General Board of Directors of the State Hospitals of Virginia, 1923-1935.
