Biographical History
Fiske Hanley II received a degree in aeronautical engineering from Texas Technological College in 1943. He served in the Army Air Force as a flight engineer during World War II, and was posted with the 504th Bomb Group in the Pacific campaign. He was held as a prisoner of war by the Japanese. He is a historian and the author of one volume in the collection.
Fiske Hanley was a lieutenant in the Army Air Force with the 504th Bombardment Group, when he was shot down in March 1945 and imprisoned by the Japanese.
