Biographical History

Hugh Moore was an industrialist, philanthropist, and organizer. At the age of 21 he co-founded the Dixie Cup Corporation, which he sold to the American Can Company in 1957. He began to devote his efforts entirely to the causes of world population and world peace, and continued to be active in directing the work of the Hugh Moore Fund, which he established in 1944, until his death.
