Biographical History

The University of Alaska in Fairbanks, in conjunction with the Alaska State Office of Alcoholism and COMPAS of Fairbanks, sponsored a three-day alcohol seminar in 1970 to discuss the effects of alcohol on natives and others. The seminar, entitled "Alcohol Use, Abuse, and Addiction - A Community Problem," was held on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. Speakers at the seminar included H.A. "Red" Boucher, Fairbanks mayor, and Fenton Moss of the University of Utah School of Alcohol Studies.
