Biographical History

Bob Conge was an assistant professor at RIT' s College of Art from 1964-68. He graduated from RIT in 1962 and received his MFA from Syracuse University two years later. In 1964, he was awarded the Louis Comfort Tiffany grant for painting and was appointed the director of the J. Thomas Gallery in Provincetown, Massachusetts. In 1970, Conge opened his own studio and produced work for numerous clients, including American Express, Citibank, Volkswagen, and the New York Times. He has exhibited his work world-wide, from Syracuse, New York to Brno, Czechoslovakia. Currently working in the Finger Lakes region, his latest series, "Shrines," can be seen on his website www.bobconge.com.
