Biographical History

Frederick Fuller was born in Norwich, Connecticut on April 11, 1861. He invented a cash register and founded the Union Cash Register Co., which was bought by National Cash Register Co. in 1907. Fuller joined the firm as an inventor and began working with his friend, Thomas J. Watson, president of IBM. A separate laboratory was created by IBM for Mr. Fuller in East Orange, New Jersey. He died in 1943. William G. Fuller was Mr. Fuller's nephew. William G. Fuller (1895-1978) was manager of Meacham Field in Fort Worth from 1927 until his retirement in 1961 and was an important figure in the history of aviation in the city.
