Biographical History

Louisa Cook, a schoolteacher, moved from Ohio in 1862 with her daughter Mary and her aunt and uncle, first to Fort Walla Walla in the Washington Territory and then to Placerville in the Idaho Territory in 1863. In 1864 she married D.M. Walters. Louisa died of pneumonia in 1865.
