Biographical History

Clarence C. Love was born in Weir City, Kansas on Feb. 24, 1922, and attended the Kansas State Teachers College at Pittsburg. He has owned and operated a dry cleaning business in Independence, Missouri, but has made his home in Kansas City, Kansas. Representative Love was first elected to the Kansas House of Representatives in 1966, and his tenure has been longer than any other elected African-American in the history of the Kansas House.
