Biographical History

The first National Conference took place in New York, N.Y. on February 16 and 17, 1918. It was to elect and instruct delegates to the Inter-Allied Labour and Socialist Conference in London; to agree upon a uniform program for a democratic peace; and to discuss social and economic reconstruction after the first World War. The second Conference, May 3-5, 1918, was held to promote the national and international solidarity of the labor, social, and radical movements and to discuss social and economic reconstruction. The office of the Conference was based in New York City.
