Biographical History
Born in Lexington, Georgia, Isaiah Addison Paschal (1808-1868) was admitted to the bar in 1830. Three years later he moved to Louisiana, where he served on a circuit court and as a legislator. Paschal moved to San Antonio in 1845, where he continued to practice law until being elected to the Texas legislature in 1857. During the Constitutional Convention of 1866, Paschal served as a Unionist member.
