Alfred C. Wiley's father, William Frederick Frank Wiley, came to Santa Fe from Canada in 1900, where he owned a woolen mill. Alfred's brother Fernley spent his youth in Santa Fe and had worked at one point in his life at the First National Bank of Santa Fe (FNBSF)before he moved away. Never married, Fernley died in 1915.
Alfred C. Wiley's sister was Hope Wiley; his wife was Janet Wiley, and their daughter Elizabeth married and became Elizabeth Samuels.
Alfred C. Wiley died on April 29, 1983 in Santa Fe at the age of 88. His sister Hope, who became Planning Director for the State Highway Department, died at age 84 on July 27, 1992, and Elizabeth, his daughter, died in a local nursing home on September 24, 1981 at the age of 70.
