Biographical History
Jaffé (1909-1977). Physicist (physics of crystals). From 1940 until retirement in 1974, Jaffé directed research in piezoelectric crystals and ceramics at the Brush Development Company and its corporte successors, the Clevite Corporation (1953-1969) and Gould, Inc. (1969-1974). On his retirement, a number of his group formed their own company, Cleveland Crystals, with Jaffé as active consultant, from 1973.
