Biographical History
Keri Leigh, author, journalist, vocalist, songwriter, and record producer, moved to Austin from her home state of Oklahoma with her husband, guitarist Mark Lyon, in 1990.
Clifford Antone, owner of Austin's legendary Antone's nightclub, booked the couple's musical act every week for about a year. Also that same year, Leigh began working on her first book, "Stevie Ray: Soul to Soul," published by Taylor Books out of Dallas in 1993. Leigh had first met and interviewed Stevie Ray Vaughan in 1986. The two became friends after several more interviews. In May of 1990, they began working together on what was to be Vaughan's autobiography, but he was killed in a helicopter accident that August.
Leigh has two record releases out on Amazing Records with her backing band, the Blue Devils, entitled "Blue Devil Blues" (1991) and "No Beginner" (1993), and a 1995 album with a different backing band on Malaco Records entitled "Arrival."
