Sir George Harrison (d. 1841), legal writer, was the son of Thomas Harrison, attorney-general and advocate of Jamaica. He studied law, and was appointed registrar for the redemption of land tax in 1798. Thereafter he was counsel to the war office, the commander-in-chief's office, and the barrack office, and in 1805 became assistant secretary of the treasury. He was made auditor for life of the Duchy of Cornwall in 1823, and for the Duchy of Lancaster in 1826. He died in London on 3 February 1841.
