Biographical History

The church at St. Peter's was organized in 1835. Among the men prominent in the development of the church were Thomas S. Williamson, Henry H. Sibley, and Samuel W. and Gideon H. Pond. The church was named the Church of Christ and the Oak Grove Church before it became the First Presbyterian Church.
