Hugh Bayne was admitted to the bar in 1894. He practiced law in New Orleans from 1894-1898, and in New York City from 1898-1919. Bayne was a member of the legal services unit of the Reparations Commission under the Treaties of Versailles and St. Germain, 1919-1928.
