Biographical History

Carl C. Malone (1901-1986) received his B.S. (1923) in Animal Husbandry from Iowa State College (University). He was employed by Iowa State as an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics (1942-1944); an Associate Professor (1944-1947) and Professor (1947-1961) of Economics and Sociology; and as a consultant (1960-1969) for the Ford Foundation in India.

Malone is the author of five books, including How to Make Your Farm Pay (1950) and A Guide to Agricultural Modernization (1970).
