Mary Phillips (b.1778) daughter of John Phillips (1751?-1846) and Mary Chamberlain, married Isaac Hewitt, son of Deathic Hewitt and Elizabeth Searle; she then married Ephrian Purdy of Wayne Co., PA; and finally, Seth Goodrich (d.1808). Mary and Isaac Hewitt had seven children: Deathic (1795-1884), John Phillips (b.1797), Betsy (b.1799), Lavina (1802-1855?), Daniel (b.1804), Isaac (b.1806), and Mary Ann (b.1808). Mary and Ephrian Purdy had one child, Tryphena (b.1815).
Comer Phillips (1783 - 1847) was the son of John Phillips and Mary Chamberlain. He married Hannah Mott (1779 - 1853) and lived on Ward St., Collins Patch, Taylor, PA. He is buried in Old Cemetery, Taylor, PA. Comer and Hannah had eleven children: Mary Elizabeth (1802 -1842), John (1804 - 1808), Comer (1805 - 1863), Washington (1807 - ), Edward Lee (1809 - 1880), Isaac Hewitt (1811 - 1873), Martha (1814 - 1820), John (1815 - 1816), Caroline (1817 - 1901), Milton Gordon (1819 - ), and Hannah Celestine (1825 - ). This document details their descendents.
Martha Phillips (1771 - ) was born in Pownal, Vermont, to John Phillips (1751-1846) and Mary Chamberlain (1745-1815). She married John Tripp (1776 - ) from Middletown, R.I. in 1789 in Pittston, PA. They lived in Luzerne Co., PA and had seven children: William (1790 - ); James (1792 - 1875) who married Melancy Mae (1804 - 1884); Sally (1794 - 1833) who married Silas Clark (1790 - ); Martha Polly (1797 - 1869) who married Mr. Millard; Zacheus (1800 - ); and David Tripp.
