Richard Miller opened the Tiber Press in 1952 in New York (N.Y.) with a partner, Floriano Vecchi; Miller focused on the business side while Vecchi handled artistic production. The press specialized in poetry and the artwork of second-generation Abstract Expressionists.
The series of four volumes of poetry were published in an edition limited to 25 copies numbered I-XXV and 200 signed copies. The paper was handmade by Hahnemüle in West Germany; the type was Walbaum-Antiqua, hand-set and printed by Brüder Hartmann in West Berlin. The prints illustrating the volumes were made on screens by the artists at Tiber Press. The volumes were bound by Russell-Rutter in New York (N.Y.).
