Biographical History

Affectionately known as "Mr. Training Union" for his prolific publications and avid promotion of church training programs, Jerry Lambdin began his career at the Baptist Sunday School Board in 1925 as the associate to Landrum Leavell in the Department of Student Work. In 1929, he became secretary of the Board's Baptist Young People's Union, where he served until 1959. Before joining the Board, Lambdin was a Sergeant in the First World War. Lambdin died in 1960 in Nashville, Tenn.
