Biographical History
A School of Education was created at North Carolina State College in 1927, but it was changed to the Department of Education in 1931. The School of Education was re-established in 1948. By the 1990s it had become the College of Education and Psychology. It remained under that name until July 1, 2001, when it became the College of Education. The Department of Psychology moved to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
A School of Education was created at North Carolina State College in 1927, and reduced to just the Department of Education in 1931. The School of Education was re-established in 1948, and renamed the College of Education and Psychology in 1987. On July 1, 2001, the College was again renamed, becoming the College of Education, with the Department of Psychology separating and moving to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
