Biographical History
Mrs. C.J. Lincoln was born Eudore Percival Knox on 26 Sept. 1849 at Van Buren, Ark. Her father, George W. Knox, was an early settler in Arkansas. Her mother, Eudora Rose Knox, was the daughter of Horace B. Rose, the founder of the town of Roseville on the Arkansas River. She had three sisters: Fanny Rose Knox (Mrs. Hugh Thomason), Georgia Lydia Knox (Mrs. W.L. Faber); and Martha "Mattie" Washington Knox (Mrs. Syme Hayman). Eudora Knox married Dr. C.J. Lincoln of Little Rock on 15 May 1870. The couple had two children, Charles Knox Lincoln and Georgia L. Lincoln Shipton. Eudora Percival Knox Lincoln died in Little Rock on 24 May 1921. She is buried in Mt. Holly Cemetery.
