Roskelley was a pioneer and a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Samuel Roskelley was born in England and emigrated to Utah in 1853, settling in Cache Valley in 1855. He served as a bishop for the L.D.S. Church in Smithfield and later as a patriarch. He completed two missions to England.
