Biographical History

Whitney (Harvard, M.D. 1875) was curator of the Warren Anatomical Museum at Harvard from 1879 to 1921; secretary of the Harvard Medical School, 1883 to 1890; and taught parasitic diseases in the Harvard Veterinary School from 1891 to 1901. He was a noted anatomist and often served as a forensic expert in murder cases when testimony regarding vital organs was needed.
