Biographical History

John C. Bodger, Jr., retired following a career in teaching and as head of Toledo-Lucas County Public Library in Ohio; following retirement he had his wife, Dorothy Bodger moved to Whitneyville, Me., where he was active in local civic and political affairs. In 1977 founded a non-profit organization, Sunrise Research Institute to collect and disseminate information about Washington County, Me., architecture and history. The institute published a book entitled Sunrise County Architecture in 1979 with a revised 2nd, enlarged edition in 1996; b. 1918; d. 2005.
