Jon Lindgren served as mayor of Fargo, N.D. from 1978 to 1994. He also was an economics professor at North Dakota State University.
Jon and H. Elaine Lindgren, professors at North Dakota State University, collaborated in writing an article on Fargo city government's response to the very active abortion protestors in Fargo in the early 1990s. Jon Lindgren was also mayor of Fargo at the time.
