Biographical History

Temple B'nai Sholom began in 1948 when a group of Jewish families from the Essex, Middle River, and Dundalk areas of Baltimore County, Md., met and voted to become a Reform congregation where their children could be raised Jewish in a non-Jewish community. They purchased a building in Essex, Md., in 1951, which became their location until 1968, when they sold it. After 1969, services were held at a private home in Middle River until the congregation disbanded in 1982.
