Biographical History

T.J. Kent, born in 1917, was a pioneer in city and regional planning in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was a founding member of Telesis and the founding professor of the UC Berkeley department of City and Regional Planning. In 1964 he published The Urban general plan. He was also president of People for Open Space. He died in 1998.
