Biographical History

The Base Hospital at Camp Devens, Mass. was an Army medical facility located in Ayer, Mass., northwest of Boston, Mass. Col. William Aden Powell oversaw medical personnel at this facility upon his transfer to the 76th Division in 1917 until 1918 when Powell received orders to supervise the operation of medical facilities in France during World War I.
