Biographical History

When Nathaniel Green Warthern (1825-1895) from Washington, Co., GA, moved to Walker County and soon married Sarah Adaline (Ada or Addie) Marsh (1836-1926) on February 15, 1859, they began the family whose correspondence among sisters, brothers, parents, and children gives a rich picture of school years, courtship, small business, and general family life. Mrs. Warthen's sister was Mary Allgood, wife of the Trion Mill founder, Andrew Allgood.

From the description of Warthen/Marsh family papers, 1836-1997 (bulk 1863-1946). (Georgia Department of Archives and History Library). WorldCat record id: 122654327
