Biographical History

The Wisconsin Conservation Congress is an independent citizens organization made up of elected representatives and founded in 1934 to provide advice to the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board on matters concerning hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation. In 1972 the duties of the Congress received statutory recognition by Statute 15.348. The Congress is staffed by the Division of Legal Services of the Department of Natural Resources (WIHV85-A695).
